This week on the Aesthetic Mini Series, we interview Physician Assistant, Emily Dowe. She is a New York City transplant who took her talents to the star studded city of Los Angeles, California. She goes over the difference between the physician assistant vs nurse practitioner paths. Describes the difficulty in getting a job in the dermatology field when first getting out of school with no experience in NYC. Dowe lets us in on the comparison of the aesthetic markets in NYC and LA. She explains in the early 2000's that plastic surgeons and dermatologists didn't want PA's to get into the aesthetic/injector industry and were really territorial. Unlike most people in the industry, Youtube is her go-to source for social media and is her number 1 in getting new clientele.
