When it comes to exercise, less is more. This is a lesson I wish I learned much earlier in my fitness journey as it would have saved me a lot of grief, but I guess if I didn’t learn it the hard way I probably wouldn’t be the coach that I am today. I take a lot of my philosophies from personal experience and quite frankly my goal in educating others is to ensure you don’t make the same mistakes I did.
In today’s episode, I’m going to provide some background on why we have a tendency to take fitness to an extreme and how even with the best of intentions it has backfired on us. I’m going to also give you a bit of background on my own journey because for one, it’s humbling to be reminded of my own mistakes but two, it really helps to illustrate these lessons learned because I lived both the before and the after. Then finally, I’m going to provide you with the most important key insights I provide my clients when it comes to navigating fitness in a way that both optimizes health but also helps you reach your goals.
