Jason Fink (President/CEO, Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce) joins Shawn Carey for the July Backyard Business Spotlight.

One of baseball's greatest second basemen of all time, Ryne Sandberg, appeared in Williamsport as Grand Marshall of the 2023 Grand Slam Parade.  Sadly, Ryne recently passed away from cancer at age 65.  Jason shares his thoughts on Ryne's time in the city.

Jason also announces who the Grand Marshall will be for the 2025 Grand Slam Parade!

"The Lumber Yard" is now being built in Williamsport on the former Susquehanna Supply property, featuring seven baseball and softball fields that will be ready for competition in 2026.  Jason takes us through the multi-year process how the area is moving "from dump to diamonds!"

Not far from where the "Lumber Yard" will be, is the brand new Chick-Fil-A restaurant, now open on Maynard Street in Williamsport!  We learn about the community outreach that Chick-Fil-A has already spearheaded in Lycoming County.

And Governor Josh Shapiro visited the county earlier this month to announce the addition of Verne, Incorporated, to Muncy.  It's a new, hydrogen manufacturing plant that's expecting to bring in over 60 full time jobs.
