I'm not talking about skiving off early to go to the pub.

I'm talking about taking time off to recharge, reflect on the week, and get some pep back in your step.

I'm passionate about my job because my primary goal is to help people have more successful businesses.

When it comes to being productive, I have 3 beliefs.

Nothing that productive occurs between 3 and 7 on a Friday

A creative bolt of lightning can hit me while performing steady-state cardio.

You  can try burning the candle at both ends. However, you will eventually  have to extinguish the flame of exhaustion and reignite the fire.

Here are some tips to ensure you perform at a higher level and don't succumb to exhaustion.

Make sure you take all your leave from work. You will get the minimum amount needed, so feel free to take unpaid for a few days.

Increase  the quality of your rest and try and gamify sleeping. I love sleeping  and have a routine to ensure I am 100% recharged each morning.

Ensure  you finish work on time and draw a line under answering work  communications outside working hours. Customers and employers will  quickly harness your efforts if you blur the lines on the time you  finish.

Have a plan for what your weekend looks like, meet with  friends and family, go for walks, watch a show, and visit the cinema.  The list can be endless. But, unfortunately, waking up on a Saturday and  watching the next two days evaporate is easy. So, try to save your  weekend.

If you struggle to switch off at the weekend, make sure you ask for help or at least share it with a close friend.

There is always someone there to listen to you.
