"What is your greatest weakness?"
"Honesty."
"I don't think honesty is weakness."
"I don't give a fuck what you think."
On a serious note, we need to speak about being authentic; we all know that we live in a polished
social media world of highlight reels, which can creep into every aspect of your life.
Years ago, I had hands down one of the worst jobs of my career, and although the company is
highly successful, it wasn't the right fit for me.
I didn't do myself any favours by trying to fit into that mold at every step of the recruitment
process. Why? Because I wanted the position, the car, the prestige and all the future potential
advancements and development. With every stage that I progressed, I realized I was diluting
myself down, and when I looked around the office at the people working and the conversations, I
had never felt more out of place.
It was a miserable time for me, so the next time you go for a job interview or even a networking
event, be more of yourself and double down on your beliefs, views, and opinions.
It's a fine line to tread. I mean, I've made mistakes, but that's okay, especially if you're graduating
and are a bit inexperienced.
and remember
If they don't like you! Fuck em!
