Can buildings save the environment?

We tend to see nature as separate from the world of buildings and architecture — natural vs artificial. What if these worlds could unite to save the environment instead of harming it?

Architect, curator, and writer Pedro Gadanho believes that architecture needs to move beyond sustainability and have a regenerative effect on the environment. Instead of being driven by consumption, the world needs to focus on renovation and rehabilitation to build a future that doesn’t deplete our natural resources.

About me:

I am a seeker of wellbeing. Through my Living with Sunny Podcast, I want to take you along on my journey as I meet people from all walks of life and explore pathways to happiness, health, harmony, and growth.

I have a dream for the world — that everyone experiences the joy of living through Wholistic Wellbeing. To this end, I founded RoundGlass in 2014, where we’re enabling and empowering communities and individuals on the path of Wholistic Wellbeing through our apps and digital platforms that offer expert-led content and access to the world’s best teachers.

We’re also doing our bit to help solve societal and environmental problems through social impact initiatives in the field of sports (RoundGlass Sports) and sustainability (RoundGlass Sustain), focused on action for the good of the individual, community, and the entire planet.

At the RoundGlass Foundation, we’re working to improve the lives of children, youth, women in Punjab, India, through initiatives in women’s empowerment, sustainability, learning, waste management, and more.
