West Virginia, 1966.
Local residents of Point Pleasant, a picturesque, wholesome country town where kids could build tire swings, ride bikes without helmets on, and shoot at each other in the woods with BB guns, got the shock of their lives when an unknown creature began flying around their town, scaring locals with its large glowing red eyes, bat-like wings, and flying capability, ultimately culminating in tragedy on a scale rarely seen in this neck of the woods.
