Phoenix Arizona. Aptly named for its comfortable temperatures.
To quote Peggy Hill, "This city should not exist. It is a monument to man's arrogance."
But in March of 1997, in this unparalleled city of arrogance, as the Hale-Bopp Comet was passing by our planet on its way toward the sun, another set of spectacular lights lit up the skies over Phoenix. Some eyewitnesses claim it was a huge V-Shaped craft that blocked out the stars above as it passed overhead.
The military says these lights were just flares that were launched by aircraft during a night time training exercise. But to many who spotted the lights firsthand, this explanation is nothing but a pathetic attempt to dismiss their accounts.
26 years on, the mystery still persists. What was it that floated in the skies over Arizona on that fateful night?
