If you have not heard of the story of Gomer and Hosea, you are in for some entertainment! Gomer and Hosea had an unconventional marriage but God intended for it to be that way. Their marriage was an example of the Israelites' back and forth relationship with God. Although the it seemed like Gomer just could not get it together, God (and Hosea) was willing to wait for her to go through their to go through her wilderness and desert moments so that she would be transformed through him and their relationship would be restored.
