Script: Director James Cameron has indicated that he has shot scenes for proposed sequels Avatar 3 and Avatar 4 concurrently with the recently released sequel Avatar: The Way of Water. This was done in order to avoid having the younger cast members age out of their roles, as happened with the show Stranger Things. The producer of the Avatar films, Jon Landau, also revealed that upcoming films will feature new cultures and clans on Pandora, and that characters introduced in one film will continue to be a part of the story in future films. Avatar: The Way of Water has been successful at the box office, earning over $500 million worldwide.
