AMC has renewed two of its "The Walking Dead" spinoffs for second seasons, even before their respective first seasons have premiered.

"The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" will star Norman Reedus as the titular character, who washes ashore in France and must try to figure out how to get home. The series is set to premiere on September 10.

"The Walking Dead: Dead City" follows Maggie and Negan as they navigate a zombie-filled Manhattan. The series is currently airing its first season, and the season finale is set to air on July 23.

The renewals for both series come as a sign of confidence from AMC in the "Walking Dead" franchise. The original series ended its 11-season run in April, but the network has been expanding the franchise with a number of spinoffs.

In addition to "Daryl Dixon" and "Dead City," the "Walking Dead" universe also includes the series "Fear the Walking Dead" and "Isle of the Dead." A new series, "The Ones Who Live," is set to premiere in 2024
