Richie O'Brien has been through a lot in his life. In high school he lost his father and battled a form of bone cancer.
As a police officer in Butte-Silver Bow in May of 2017, O'Brien was involved in a high-speed chase and shootout with the father and son who murdered Broadwater County Deputy Mason Moore. That chase was recently featured on NBC's Dateline.
