Description

Wayne Paffhausen was an outstanding athlete and coach at Butte High School. He was a key member of Butte High's undefeated state championship football teams in 1960 and 1961. He then coached the Bulldogs on the gridiron from 1970 through 1972.

Paffhausen went to the University of Washington to play football, but his career as a Husky was cut short when he suffered a broken neck. Of course, Wayne is probably best known as the father of Marc, Scott, Todd and Josh Paffhausen.

Today, at 79, Paffhausen is still busy with his construction company. He and his wife Patty are also busy traveling the state to follow the athletic careers of their grandchildren.
