Description

*SPOILER ALERT! There is no such thing as a perfect way to raise a child, no matter what anyone might tell you.

Being a parent is such a privilege and one of the greatest things a person can experience, but it also challenges you in ways you never dreamed. Everywhere you look there are "experts" telling us what we should and should not do when it comes to raising our children. Society also unfairly judges parents and places many unrealistic expectations that can leave us feeling frustrated and inadequate. In this episode, we discuss our personal experiences of falling short of these societal expectations as we let go of perfection and focus on learning from our mistakes and making sure our children feel loved, heard, and supported. By providing an authentic and relatable look at parenting, we focus on the idea that despite our flaws, we can still be great parents. We also note that parenting is not "one-size-fits-all" and what works for some, may not work for others because every kiddo is different.
