Description

Dominic Slowey  is 74 years old and was born in Dublin He was born with cerebral palsy and  epilepsy which he manages with medication.

Dominic attended mainstream education until he was 15 years old.

When he started higher education, the classrooms were upstairs and he was not able to climb the stairs to get to his classrooms so he discontinued attending the school he was attending.

When he was 19 years old he lost all of his sight and moved to another school that was being run by the Christian Brothers, where he stayed until he was around 35 years old.

Prior to losing  his sight, Dominic enjoyed watching movies and today he has a great collection of DVD's which he enjoys listening to the stories.

He also enjoys listening to music and collects CD's of the great composers and conductors.

He is celebrating 40 years of living in his current home which is in Co. Limerick.

He is a very cheerful man and grateful to God for how well he is looked after and able to enjoy his life.
