This Puritan is a fine example of being biblically principled to the core. He had a compromisingly easy way out of much affliction and turmoil yet, he fixated his eyes on Christ's example in Matthew 4. Hungry, tired, and worn he remained strong by not giving into the temptation of pledging his allegiance to anyone except King Jesus. He had the honor of dying for Christ's name.
