Description

Today we discuss having a code word with our kids for an added safety measure as they are growing and learning to navigate the world around us. Growing up Jess had a code word with her mom "pretty please" and the way that it worked is that if she ever got into a situation where she did not feel comfortable to use her own voice she could use her code word "pretty please" and her mom would know that she was actually supposed to say "no" to whatever was being asked or she was supposed to drop everything and come get Jess. This is not a replacement for teaching our kids to use their own voice- simply a precaution for if they are ever in a situation they do not feel comfortable to. We also discuss another use for code words with our littlest kids!
