Zach Bitter is an ultrarunner who holds the world record for most miles run in a 12-hour period (101.66 miles). In 2015, he set the 100-mile American record by running 100 miles in 11:40:55—an average page of 7:00 minutes per mile! Zach Bitter just broke another 100-mile world record. He finished 100 miles in 11:19:13 at the Six Days in the Dome event in Wisconsin, beating the previous record held by Russian athlete Oleg Kharitonov at 11:28:03.
