Sometimes when things go wrong, our ethics fly out the window. We don’t get to decide the results; we just get to decide our response. I wish I could tell you that bad people will get what’s coming to them and that everything will go well with you if you have integrity. But we don’t control the results; we just control our response. And the question that matters isn’t if we’ll come out on top. The question is: Will I be the kind of person God’s calling me to be when circumstances aren’t what I hoped they would be?
