Description

Dr. Charles R. Drew was an African American surgeon who discovered ways of storing blood plasma for transfusion. Along with this accomplishment, Dr. Drew also organized the first large scale blood bank in America. However, none of his achievements came without great difficulty, especially that of discrimination.
