Description

A DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: Today Christian churches commemorate St James, the brother of our Lord (Gal. 1:19), as St Paul calls him. He was the leader of the church in Jerusalem in its early years. His emphasis on a living faith is evident in his book, where he speaks of faith-and-works (James 2). Our works give evidence of our living and active faith which is a result of God's grace in Christ. We can recall James' practical advice for us, Christians, especially as we celebrate the Reformation this next week.
