A DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: Happy Reformation Day! In Luther's 95-Theses, he repeated the phrase, "Docendi sunt christiani..." (Christians are to be taught) in theses 41-52. He understood the necessity of education, especially in teaching the Gospel for future generations. Motivated by God's love, he worked tirelessly to communicate the Good News of forgiveness, life, and salvation as a free gift, received by faith alone, without any works. We thank God for Luther's reformation rediscovery as we also work to share that message in our day.
