A DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: On this date, December 19, our Lutheran Church commemorates Adam and Eve. The "Paradise Tree" with bright fruit reminds us of their fall, but more importantly, their sin was redeemed by Jesus, "the second Adam" (1 Corinthians 15:45-49). As sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, so Christ is God's gracious GIFT (Romans 5:15), which brings us justification. May you enjoy that early Christmas gift throughout the year!
