A DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: On this Patriot Day, our nation pauses to commemorate the almost 3000 individuals who died on September 11, 2001. We find strength in God's promises to us in Scripture. James tells us, "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him" (1:12). May the Lord bless you with His peace.
