Text: John. 10:1-10
Topic: JESUS, THE OPEN DOOR
After the fall of man in Genesis 3, different means was used in raising altar to God and building intimacy with Him, however, all the means were not wholesome until Jesus showed up (Eph. 2:12; Col. 1:21; Exo.19:12-25).
There were three veils of separation in the terbanacle from the Old Testament, which are the outer court, the holy place, and the holiest place. But when Jesus came, He changed the conversation by removing every form of separation between God and man (Heb. 10:18-20).
There were three veils of separation in the tabernacle from the Old Testament, which are the outer court, the holy place, and the holiest place. But when Jesus came, He changed the conversation by removing every form of separation between God and man (Heb. 10:18-20).
As the veil at the holiest place tore, Jesus' Body was torn as well on the Cross, and this affirms that Jesus Himself is the door to the Father, for the veil was His flesh (1Pet.2:10).
Jesus being the door, means that He is the entrace through which we come to the Father, and it shows we now belong to the same family in God (1Tim.2:5; Act.4:12; John.14:12).
Jesus is the protocol of approach to the LORD God.
The concept of Jesus being the door is also about the means of escape from the power of Satan. It talks about one's positional identity and possessional reality i.e., it is not just about your change of location but also includes what you have in God through Christ.
