Description

God is outrageously merciful and He wants us to imitate that trait in Him. Jesus wasn’t just identified as the Son of God with respect to Power but also in His Compassion towards people.

Guidelines To Practicing Mercy:

(1). Don’t mock and laugh when people you don’t like/people who don’t like you, fail or make mistakes. Mockery on every ground is wrong; you must learn the practice of mercy because you don’t have all the information about people.

(2). Make yourself available to those who are in need. Sometimes, because of our selfishness, we avoid those that are in need and look for those that can help us, but that’s not God’s character.

(3). Treat people better than they deserve. Don’t treat people according to how they deserve to be treated, this positions you to receive things you don’t deserve. Do good to those who hate you and pray for those who despise you.

(4). Make excuses for people when you hear the worst about them. Believe the best about people even when you head the worst.

(5). Make room in your heart for people's shortcomings. Sometimes, our expectations are too high for human beings, whereas humans are not perfect.

(6). Sympathize with those who are hurting.

(7). Examine peoples intentions over their actions. Peoples actions may be bad but sometimes, their intentions may be good.

(8). Be kind in your words and your demeanor. God is kind to the worst of men, let your kindness be not just in words but in actions.

Our practice of mercy to others should be of reciprocation and gratitude that God has also shown us mercy.
