My guest today is Darcia Narvaez, Professor of Psychology at the University of Notre Dame, Fellow of the American Psychological Association, the American Educational Research Association and many others. Her work is powerful, ground-breaking and vast. It scales from something as seemingly small as a parent’s interaction with their crying baby, all the way to the full scope of human evolution, and the interplay between it all.
She employs an interdisciplinary approach to studying child development, evolved morality and human flourishing, integrating anthropology, neuroscience, evolutionary and educational sciences.
She hosts EvolvedNest.org, is president of KindredWorld.org and has written many publications and books on Indigenous Wisdom, Child Developmental Psychology and Human Evolution. Her forthcoming book “Evolved Nest: Nature’s Way of Raising Children and Creating Connected Communities” is one on my personal pre-order list, and her new film "Reimaging Humanity" is out June 20, 2023.
