Rev. Karen Kluever is an ordained United Methodist deacon who grew up in Guilford County, NC, 20 minutes southeast of Greensboro. She has undergrad and graduate degrees in journalism (UNC-Chapel Hill, UW-Madison), received her master's in Christian education from Pfeiffer University, and completed theological studies through Wesley Theological Seminary. Karen served in youth ministry for 25 years in NC, SC, and KY before coming to Hinton Rural Life Center in 2018 to serve as minister of church relations and development.
