Description

Hey, everyone. It's Jordan Morrison, and welcome to episode 52 of "It Is What It Is."

In this episode, I dive deep into the emotions of doubt, confusion, and hesitation that I've been grappling with lately. Life has been a bit of a rollercoaster these past few weeks, and I've found myself slacking on the podcast. I want to apologize to you, to everyone out there, and to myself for that. But here I am, doing my best and being honest with you.

I share my personal experiences of meeting fellow podcasters and the valuable advice I received from a friend when moving from Dallas to Nashville. It’s been a journey filled with self-discovery, challenges, and learning to stay true to myself.

From the struggle of maintaining consistency to encountering inauthenticity, I reflect on what makes a podcast genuine and relatable. I talk about the importance of authenticity and how easy it is to fall into the trap of seeking validation rather than being true to oneself.

I also touch on my creative pursuits—singing, writing, producing, and playing piano—which have been both a source of joy and frustration. The past two years of podcasting and making music have reconnected me with my true self, reminding me of the hard-working, competitive person I am.

I know I'm not alone in these feelings of doubt and confusion. We all go through it, and it's a part of human nature. My advice? Count your blessings and remember what you're confident about. When you focus on what you love, fear and confusion take a backseat.

Thank you for being here and letting me share my journey with you. If you're feeling unsure, take a moment to ground yourself and remember your strengths.
