The next few episodes will be discussing passages of scripture that may be overlooked near highly quoted scriptures. The Beatitudes are before Matthew 5:13, which talks about disciples being the salt of the Earth. However, most people are eager to quote scriptures like this but don't study the prerequisites or what happened after. For Matthew 5:13, the beatitudes give insight to some of what being the salt of the earth requires and the blessings that come with it. Divine blessings from God, given verbally by Jesus, are shown all throughout the New Testaments but so are important instructions and insights. I thank the Holy Spirit for biblical insight!
