Too often we are made to believe that forgiving is synonymous with forgetting. We are taught to truly move on is to forget what has happened or to at least act like it has never happened. Forgetting contradicts the purpose of setting boundaries and holding people accountable. We must remember our traumatic experiences to truly move beyond them. Our goal is to lessen the sting and take the power away and that requires attention. Join Dr. Paco as we have this discussion in the context of Mother's and Father's Day.
