Carissa and David are back to discuss AMWF (Asian Male, White/Western Female). David quickly learns that Carissa is unfamiliar with the acronym and debriefs her on the meaning behind the acronym. We also learn that Carissa is an AMWF supporter as she ‘subtly’ tries to deny that she does NOT have a ‘preference’ for dating Asian men.
They share their dating experiences being each half of the AMWF community and David makes a suggestion on how to meet people during the pandemic. They also open up about being ghosted and try to break down the best psychological way of dealing with online dating to avoid another traumatic ghosting experience. David compares himself to the Asian men as seen in Korean drama (K-Drama) and explains the disappointing reality— hint: it’s not real!
Lastly, David shares his concerns about the racist stereotypes surrounding Asian men as they both dive deep into the topic of cultural diversity and the AMWF ratio in the real world compared to WMAF (White/Western Male Asian Female).
