In this episode, Joshua talks with Eli Staab, the summer Waterfront Director for 2025. They talk about balancing leadership, big questions for staff and campers, and safety on the waterfront. I hope you enjoy the music!
From our Waterfront Director: "My name is Elijah, but most everybody calls me Eli. I'm 19 years old and this summer I'll be the waterfront director at Beaver Camp! This is my fourth summer on staff, and in the past three I spent my time Lifeguarding and Counseling here at camp. I am currently attending Jefferson Community College for an Associates degree in Liberal Arts and Humanities, which I'll be finishing in the fall. I have a lot of hobbies, some of which are video games, exercising, chilling with my friends and playing some Ultimate Frisbee! I've grown up in a Catholic family my whole life, and my walk with the Lord had been mostly just the 1 hour on Sundays we spent at church. Before I started working at camp I never had an active, or passionate desire to learn about the Bible and grow in relationship with the Lord. Since then however, I have been blessed to be able to walk through life knowing Him better and enjoying the company of my friends that He has brought me through Beaver Camp! Not to say my walk has been without challenges, but everything is much easier to conquer with His help."
