Ravintsara is the name given to the large evergreen Cinnamomum camphora tree that grows in Madagascar, introduced centuries ago. This species is also found native in Asia; however, the two different habitats have gifted us two different oils, with their own unique chemistry. The leaf oil from the Asian trees is referred to as Ho Leaf. Ravintsara is higher than Ho Leaf in the constituent 1,8 cineole, also found in eucalyptus oils, giving Ravintsara a camphor-like aroma. Ho Leaf has more linalool, creating a calming and soothing effect.
Ravintsara oil offers resilience and support to those feeling displaced or alone, helping them grow and benefit from new experiences. It stimulates the throat chakra, aiding self-expression and clear communication, empowering individuals to set boundaries and establish balance in relationships. Ravintsara's oil is influenced by lunar and Saturn energies, creating a magical yet disciplined vibration. It brings clarity of intention, supports manifestation, and encourages positive change. Additionally, Ravintsara promotes self-fairness, discipline, and healing, helping release emotional and physical pain. It can provide protection and cleanse spaces. In times of fearfulness or doubt, Ravintsara reassures and boosts trust in the process of life's blessings.
