Despite the litany of taxes already on the books and tens of trillions of dollars in gov't debt, politicians haven't managed to solve any of the problems they have been claiming to care about since the beginning of time. Now that they're running out of things you actually have to tax, they want to go after gains you haven't collected. I'm sure this next $2 trillion will do what the first $30 trillion couldn't.
