Harlan is the organizing pastor of Interwoven Church in Flintridge, CA. He grew up in New Orleans, LA. Before he left Pasadena for Princeton Seminary he was the executive director of Harambee Ministries. Harlan loves going for bike rides on the beach with his family.

- Learning to slow down helps you hear your inner voice
- Give yourself permission to participate in something that gives you life, rather than takes from you
- Try to live a little spontaneously
- Take a break from trying to control everything
