Description

I’m so freaking excited to be kicking off the Sisters in Stoke podcast by talking to one of my besties- Leanne Dinham! This woman started as a Steel Mace Flow mentor to me and has since become a deeply valued part of my life because of her ability to embody the both/and of compassion and a commitment to the truth (no matter how hard it may be).

She is a movement coach, Buffy lover and cat mum living in Melbourne, Australia and the only thing she loves more than moving with her mace is getting to coach people and be a part of their Mace journey.

When she first picked up her mace she felt the warrior within stir and the storyteller inside get really excited about a new medium to play with. Having grown up doing martial arts and playing in bands, flow triggering activities were not new to her though she did not know what it was or why it felt so good back then. Nearly a decade into her journey as a coach, now she does. Turns out younger Lea playing with pretend swords was on the right path!

She coaches rad humans all over the world using tools like Steel Mace, Indian Clubs and flow ropes, with a focus on exploring movement and developing the skills to step into flow and have fun which includes showing up for ourselves (and each other) and having a good time while trying hard stuff and learning new things.

In this episode we chat moving through and with our emotions (especially grief), exploring archetypes, backing ourselves, cultivating flow states and why it’s so good for us and the importance of buying into joy!
