Episode 17 of “Not Your Average Joel” is now out! I had an amazing opportunity to talk to my good friend Justin Barrier on the topic of “Life and Death Situations.” The reason why we talked about this is because Justin is a 911 Operator and he got to share with me his perspective of what his job entails, how those hard calls can affect him whether he’s at work or not, how to handle to hard call, and the importance of PTSD within this job. I learned so much from my talk with Justin. The victims are most definitely going through a hard time but the call that victim makes can also affect the 911 Operator that answers the call, the Police Officer/Firefighter that sees something traumatic before their eyes and that PTSD can be very common within their jobs. Shoutout to our Police Officers, Fire Fighters, 911 Dispatchers, EMS, paramedics, nurses, doctors, and even our Military that take on life and death situations. I hope y’all enjoy!
