Janelle Evans is a Lancaster, PA native and has worked within the restaurant and food service industry for over seven years. A junior at Millersville University, though on hiatus now, Janelle’s major was International Studies with an emphasis in criminology, in order to gain skills to work in the field of international human rights.
Janelle is avidly passionate about giving a voice to the voiceless in any and every way that she can. This passion stems from her being diagnosed as a child with selective mutism anxiety disorder.
Janelle had the honor of being a TEDxLancaster conference speaker in 2015, emphasizing the need to pursue excellence in daily living.
Seeing the injustice within the restaurant industry, not only in the places she's worked and frequented, but also as a whole, she is exhilarated to be a part of an upcoming project in order to ensure equality for the underdog within the industry she knows and loves.
Janelle is a part of and an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and is thankful to her loving partner for her endless support and to everyone that made the opportunity of bringing this upcoming project to the public possible.
