On Episode 43 of Th $300 Startup Podcast...

I scored a few, huge lessons out of what is now one of the sport's most memorable rants.

(1) It showed me that I DO need to practice my craft every single day.

(2) But also to practice the things that can't be seen like your discipline, your character.

The former is easier.

If you're a basketball player you shoot thousands of shots, to get a better shot.

If you're a writer, you tell thousands of stories to become a better storyteller.

The compound growth of doing the action repeatedly will assure your mastery in that skill. There's no way around it.

The latter is the tricky one, but the same rules apply.

If you practice gratitude daily, you'll be happier in life (Fact).

If you focus on your values and build them into good habits, your dedication will burn without end.

The compound growth of being mindful will assure you resiliency, and a fruitful way of living. There's no way around it.

But why in real life is this so tricky?
