Liz is the author of fifteen books the most recent one, “African American Western Legends: Yesterday.” She is host of Wild West Diversity Livestream/Podcast. For 30 years she has served as Publicist/Historian for Cowboys of Color Rodeos, the largest multicultural rodeo in the country. Liz also speaks about “The Economic Impact of Black Cowboys: Yesterday & Today” on livestreams as well as social studies conferences, schools and libraries.
African American Western Legends: Yesterday tells the story of 17 ordinary individuals who lived extraordinary lives during difficult times – because of their choices and actions. These are the rarely and untold stories of Historical Legends who contributed to the settling of the American Wild West that most people have never heard. They were trappers, midwives, horse trainers, Buffalo Soldiers, cowboys, cowgirls, musicians and more. Great role models for children (and adults) today.
