I hear so much talk these days about the need to be positive and eschew negative emotions like anger.

But even the eminent positivity psychologist, Barbara Fredrickson talks of the value of negative emotions in navigating the often turbulent waters of our lives.

I believe the key is in not judging the negative emotions as ‘bad’ nor the positive emotions as ‘good’.
