No matter how long we practice or how much we grow, the trauma responses we’ve developed can be triggered at any given moment.
And before I go any further, it’s vital to recognize that these trauma responses, from the addictions to the automatic people-pleasing I discuss in one of today’s segments, are not your flaws.
In fact, it’s just the opposite!
The trauma responses we’ve created and developed are our own genius means of survival.
So you should be proud of your trauma responses!!!
But you should hold these responses in your loving self-awareness so that you can see when they’re not serving you any longer.
