I used to be a huge over-thinker
I would spend literally *hours* making pros and cons lists, drawing
decision trees, and absolutely agonizing over finding the right answer.
Until I realized something that changed everything for me:
There is no right answer.
Life is not a test you can get 100% on. Life is messy. And the choices
we make in our businesses and our day to day lives are not going to be perfect.
There isn't a right choice and a wrong choice.
There's just choices. Decisions. You just make one. And then - if it's
not right for you - you make another one.
We have to stop trying so hard to be perfect. To not "fail" by making
the wrong choice.
Which is what we're talking about today:
- The path I've taken on being an over-thinker and a worrier
- There's no right decision
- Why you need to see business decisions as experiments
- Starting with a decision MVP
- What I've learned from failures in my current business
- You will never have 100% certainty
- Not making a decision is still a decision
- Taking small steps in the right direction
