In this edition of my Open Letter segment, I address Andy Cohen directly about his less than astute approach to the handling of not only the racial biases and micro aggressions that are continuously hailed across this franchise, but a seemingly overall lack of any apparent concern for the feelings of Housewives of color in a general sense. Especially when it’s for the sake of “shade”, or “good tv”. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, which has been especially triggering, is the latest example of the manipulation of a black woman’s narrative for ratings without protecting her in the process while simultaneously ignoring the well being of their audience of color.
