Access to birth control is an essential aspect of safe, consensual sexual activity and health. We at Good Sex @ NYU want to ensure that everyone has equitable access and accurate information regarding birth control that allows all to engage with their sexuality in an empowered and safe way.
In this episode, Danielle and April discuss the many different birth control methods available and what accessing birth control looks like, at NYU and beyond. They also discuss how birth control can be utilized for reasons other than pregnancy prevention, like decreasing heavy and painful menstruation or eliminating menstruation completely, and clearing up acne. We hope you find this episode informative! Check out more resources on our page linked below (there are a lot of great ones this week). NYU students, we encourage you to make an appointment with a medical provider at the Student Health Center to discuss any questions this episode brings up for you.
If you or someone you know has experienced a sexual assault or relationship violence, we encourage you to reach out for support.
