Today on the podcast, April and Danielle are joined by Alexander Pines, the Assistant Director for Global Diversity Education and Training in the Office of Global Inclusion at NYU. He facilitates workshops on power, privilege, and identity for faculty, students, and staff across campus. Alexander holds an MFA from the University of Iowa and a BA from Columbia University. He has essays published in BOMB, The Rumpus, The Black Warrior Review and elsewhere. 


In this episode, April and Danielle get personal with Alexander and talk about using his work voice in his personal life and how different boundaries can feel in various environments. Alexander shares the number one conflict that he gets into with his partner and how he goes from fine to a monster and how he overcomes these moments. Listeners will also hear how Alexander has learned to be wrong gracefully and how he has shifted to thinking fun weekend are going to Target.
