Today on Good Sex @ NYU, April and Danielle chat with Ruby Carmel. Ruby is a senior, in her last semester at Tisch School of the Arts, where she studies theatrical management, production, and intimacy direction. She works as an electrician, cheesemonger, and community organizer.

In this episode, Ruby shares the impact of growing up with a therapist in the family and learning from an early age the value of engaging in healthy conflict. She shares her philosophy that  “being able to set a boundary can deepen a relationship” and acknowledges that boundaries can be difficult to implement. Ruby also discusses the spectrum of pleasure for her, from cuddling to being active in the kink world. She shares her journey of sex education as a queer person and some of the resources she has found useful.
