Description

Ever wonder, "What are the underlying root causes of harm and violence"? Join April and Danielle as they explore how oppression at every level can impact our daily lives, interactions and relationships. If we can be aware of oppressive ideologies, how they are replicated in our institutions and show up in our interpersonal relationships and in our internal lives then we can start to make real change in our communities. We also take a look at what risk factors and protective factors are and steps to be an upstander.

We talk about various types of harm and violence that can be experienced, including sexual assault and relationship violence. We know this conversation may be difficult for some. Take care of yourself, listen to your body, and turn off the episode, if needed.

If you or someone you know has experienced a sexual assault or relationship violence, we encourage you to reach out for help.
