In this chapter and next few chapters Amos is addressing Israel specifically. He calls them out, shows them how he has tried over and over
again to draw them back to Himself and how over and over they refused to return. Amos is basically saying, keep on doing what you’re doing,
and keep pretending you’re ok in your idolatrous practices, but judgment is coming.
